Classy in Corduroy...

Posted on

Corduroy gets a bad press... when we think of corduroy we normally associate it with stuffy old geography teacher jackets with leather elbow patches; but the fabric is making a comeback.

Corduroy’s texture and three dimensional look is so unique that a time for cord always comes back around…

Our Carhartt Madison Bomber symbolises everything about vintage corduroy but with the workwear quality we’ve learnt to expect from Carhartt. This Tobacco Brown colour-way, embossed with a stitched Carhartt logo, is really on point and looks sharp paired with a dark denim jean and layered with our moss coloured Lobo cord shirt from Portuguese Flannel.

Double cord could be the look of 2018. This is pure classic style, the cut of the bomber is short and sits just at the waist, keep it zipped for the cooler days.

And check out our corduroy queen with this triple cord look. The washed beige Harlow Shirt is from Carhartt (check out that chunky texture), this is a piece that really harks back to those seventies lounge colours, a signature cut from our American workwear friends.

We’re pairing the over shirt with a pair of corduroy Cocoon trousers courtesy of London-based YMC, loving that deep midnight-navy colour-way cut from an Italian fabric. We’re finishing the look with a pair of contrasting mustard yellow Novesta Star Masters, from our favourite Slovakian sneaker pals.

Drop by the store to see our full corduroy collection and have a word with one of our lovely staff members and they’ll tell you a little bit about how we’ve all gone a little cord crazy...

Much Love, The Meet Bernard Family.
