Let’s face it, 2018 was a stellar year. A real whirlwind. But in the blink of an eye, it slipped away into the stark December night.
And as the New Year begins to unfold, most of us hit the reset button. Resolutions are made (and broken), goals are set; it's the same you but a fresh approach to life. Out with the old, in with the new.
For us, this year is going to be about celebrating local friends, products and designers.
As the New Year dawns, this feels like an appropriate time to check ourselves and really appreciate what we love about running our little store. And the truth is, it’s always about the people. It’s about you, it’s about our staff and it’s about the folks creating change through their wonderful, authentic brands.
We’re going to be shouting about those doing it the independent way and sharing love with those shopping small. We've already got some fantastic new brands to share with you; new brands that have got us feeling refreshed about style, feeling ready to take this year by the scruff of the roll-neck. Stan Ray
A vintage brand born in Texas in ‘72 and handmade there still. They've been around for a long time but Stan Ray are dropping all kinds of fire with menswear that's designed for him but can be worn by her. The Stan Ray line is inspired by American workwear, which means premium quality and great versatility. Think worker-wear inspired jackets paired with that strong branding...
Sealand Bags
We're also stoked to announce the arrival of Sealand Bags, colourful up-cycled bags from South-Africa.
These guys are crafting beautiful rucksacks, cross-body bags and weekend bags from up-cycled materials like truck tarpaulin, stretch tent material and old advertising billboard mesh.
5Preview
And finally, just for our ladies, we're packing 5Preview, a very exciting brand from Stockholm that's producing the most beautiful graphic prints for her.
It's different from any other print brand we've stocked before. The 5Preview range is sport inspired, with our buy including hoodies, tracksuits and a sports fabric collection. This capsule is definitely for active wear but we also love it for looking gorgeous.
All that remains to be said people is to embrace the New Year and to keep your eyes and ears peeled for more updates from us.
